Why Choose FSCS
What sets us apart.
Plenty of schools can hand you a license. We want to hand you a career. Here's what makes training at Florida Student Cosmetology School different.

Industry-Active Instructors
Our instructors aren't retired — they're working professionals who are still in the chair. That means you learn current techniques, real-world business skills, and the kind of insider knowledge you can only get from someone actively building a career in the industry.
Hands-On from Day One
You won't spend months watching before you touch a client. From your first weeks, you work on real people in our student salon under close instructor supervision. You graduate with a portfolio, a client list, and the confidence to compete immediately.
Hybrid Scheduling — Every Program
Life doesn't pause for school. Every program at FSCS runs on a hybrid model — hands-on practicals 2 days per week at our Fort Pierce campus, theory completed online on your schedule. Built for career changers, parents, and working adults — most students graduate in about 11 weeks.
Five State-Licensed Programs
Cosmetology, Facial Specialist, Nail Specialist, Barber, and Continuing Education — all state-licensed and aligned with Florida's Board requirements. Whether you're starting fresh or leveling up an existing license, there's a path for you here.
A Real Working Student Salon
Our student salon is open to the public — real clients, real services, real pressure. That environment is exactly what prepares you for your career. You don't just practice techniques; you build the people skills, the speed, and the confidence that employers look for.
Treasure Coast Roots
We've been training Fort Pierce's beauty professionals for decades. Our graduates work in salons across the Treasure Coast and beyond. When you train here, you're joining a community — not just a school.
